Barry Roach, National Account Manager at Trodat UK, successfully pitched Trodat's ID Protection Stamp at an exciting Dragons' Den event at the Irongate Group's recent Office Productivity Show at Pride Park Stadium in Derby.

In front of a group of 40 Dragons, made up of Irongate customers and prospects, Roach secured the winning 'investment' for the environmentally-friendly alternative to shredding, beating the likes of Fellowes, 3M and Avery.

HERMA GmbH, Europe's largest independent label manufacturer, has announced at Paperworld 2011 that it has signed a new partnership deal with Trodat (UK) Ltd. From 1 January 2011 Trodat (UK) will be the UK distributor for HERMA products.

The Trodat sales and marketing team are well known for adopting a 'fresh, innovative approach' and both companies believe that there are great opportunities for the new distribution partnership.

Trodat UK Managing Director, Ian Bradbeer says: "HERMA have made significant gains in the past couple of years and now believe that together we can ramp up the initiative they have created by bringing a fresh approach to the market, with a new and improved product range, coupled with our acknowledged superior service levels like e.g. a next day delivery service, for all the top selling A4 label formats.

"Trodat and HERMA share similar values and their very credible approach towards the environment sits well alongside our own climate neutral products and underlying business philosophy."

Trodat has invested in a new ink catridge with attached grips for the most popular Printy sizes 4911, 4912 and 4913.

The new grips ensure the clean handling and insertion of the ink catridges without touching the cartridge insert. When the cartridge has been correctly inserted into the stamp, the grips are released. This confirms that the catridge is correctly positioned.

We are pleased to announce that Trotec Laser Limited has acquired the assets of Suregrave Limited, from the administrators MCR and plans to continue trading as Suregrave under the direction and leadership of the Trotec Laser Ltd management team, a Trodat group company.

Suregrave manufacture an extensive range of engraveable materials for both rotary engraving machines and laser engravers and also manufacture the leading Suregrave brand of mechanical engraving machines from its location in the North East of England. Trotec plans to continue to manufacture and sell these core products but will also look to increase distribution of its own international leading brand of Laser Engraving and Cutting machines through Suregrave's extensive network of customers.

Trotec Laser Ltd is the UK subsidiary of Trotec GMBH, the leading international manufacturer and brand of Laser machines for engraving, cutting and marking. Trotec is part of the Trodat group of companies, headquartered in Wels, Austria who are the world's leading brand and manufacturer of self-inking stamps.

Key employees of Suregrave have been retained and the business will continue to provide quality products and services to its existing customer base. Existing customer contracts and key personnel remain in place and customers should continue to use the current communication channels to place orders. Significant improvements in order are expected immediately.

The Printy Dater line has now been completely converted, meaning every product in this range is now manufactured using at least 70% recycled material.
